Moulded plastic components often carry a
static charge caused by the moulding process, de-flashing
and handling. This attracts dust, which, if not removed, causes
poor quality paint finishes. Simply wiping the surface is
laborious and does not remove the static charge, allowing
dust to be re-attracted. The use of Ionising Airguns, Ionising
Nozzles or Ionising Aircurtains will clean and
neutralise the component.

Automated systems often have the components
mounted on jigs. For these installations the Combi2000system or Jet
Stream System should be considered. The Combi 2000 system
utilises fan driven air supplied to specially designed cleaning
manifolds, housing ionising bars. The cleaning performance
of the system is superior to that of compressed air systems,
as the air filtered before use. Running costs are dramatically
lower than those of comparable compressed air systems.
