n large Cinemas, the film is held on "Cake-Stands". The film is unwound from one reel on the stand and can travel some distance before reaching the projector. Static charges built up on the unwinding material can attract airborne dust, causing poor quality projection. The film then travels back to a rewind reel on the Cake-Stand.

A model 960 Film Cleaner positioned just before the projector, will clean and neutralise the film.
